Players of the Week-1

Every week Coach James announces the Swenke Dolphin Freshman Players of the Week. I am going to post this announcement on here as well. The paragraph below each boy's picture was written by Coach James.
Please join me in congratulating these amazing Swenke Dolphins!

Ryan Woods – As we all know the Center position is one of the most difficult positions to play at this level.  You are the “center” of attention, pardon my pun, when snaps don’t go well and you have to set the tone for how the offensive line does against our opponents.  Ryan simply did an amazing job during our game with ZERO fumbled snaps and ZERO sacks on our QBs.  Ryan has a great attitude 100% of the time and comes ready to play at every practice and game.  He is a pleasure to be around and one of my third graders that I expect a lot from this year.  Great job Ryan, congratulations!
Joshua Wiseman – I have said it many times (both this year and last)…when Joshua has his head on straight and works hard, he can do great things for us.  Joshua had or caused, by my count five sacks or fumbled exchanges during the game on Wednesday.  He was extremely aggressive for every snap and had his game face on against the Ravens.  Our success this year will depend on the O-Line and D-Line; and if Wiseman has games like this I am convinced no one can stop us.  Joshua plays with a lot of emotion and passion, which if channeled appropriately makes him a force to be reckoned with.  Keep up the good work Joshua!
Brock Dalton – After an exciting year last year, we put a lot of expectations on a number of our key 3rd graders this year.  Brock is certainly one of those players that I have high hopes for this year.  He did an amazing job at QB and worked hard with Ryan at ZERO fumbled snaps….and I believe ZERO fumbled exchanges.  His play on defense was just as exciting with one of the biggest hits I have ever seen at this level.  Brock is developing very well at QB and is starting to see the field.  On one play he should have handed the ball off and didn’t only to score a TD.  When I asked why he didn’t run the play that was called, his response, “I saw that it was open so I kept the ball,” which is something I as an offensive coach loved to see.  You are doing great this year Brock, keep it up!
Joey Thiel – I have asked Joey to do a tough job this year at Full Back where the majority of the snaps will be as a lead blocker or fake up the middle.  Joey does his job without complaint every single time.  He never questions what position to play, never horses around, and asks specific questions of who to block, when, and where.  Joey had a number of carries last game given the position we were in and took a couple of good hits as they loaded up on the line.  Joey also plays a key role on my offense in playing a number of positions, of which he does extremely well on bouncing around.  This can be difficult for boys of this age, but Joey never disappoints in any position he is put in.  Awesome job Joey!

It's GAME DAY!!! Swenke Dolphins 39 Copeland Ravens 6

It's the big day! The Swenke Dolphin Freshman's 1st game of the season! They don't have to wait until game time to start gearing up for the game. They get to wear their jerseys to school. As you will see, everyone likes to support the Dolphins! It's fun to get into the spirit with them. I have a confession to make, I bought my very first "Bling" spirit shirt this year. I have never considered myself much of a blingy type of a girl, but for some reason this year I just had to have one. I love my shirt!
Taking pictures of Tackle Football games is new for me. Please bare with me while I figure it out. Enjoy the pictures of our boys in action. They were amazing!!

On their way to school-All decked out in DOLPHIN!
