The Dolphins getting ready for their 1st game.......

I'd like to begin this Blog by saying that being a Tackle football mom is hard! Seeing your little boy out there trying to make his pads make that coveted "noise" when crashing into another little boy is a difficult thing to watch.
These kids work incredibly hard in really hot temperatures. The practices and scrimmages leading up to their first game saw a lot of tears, from the boys and the moms! What those practices and scrimmages also saw was a group of boys learning how to play together as a team, boys becoming stronger, all of them getting in shape and learning how to push through when all you want to do is just quit.
There aren't so many tears anymore. It seems that our team is really working together. Our Coaches are amazing and all of them volunteer their time to run this team. They are tough when they need to be, compassionate when needed and really good with the kids. We're lucky to be a Swenke Dolphin!
Below you will find pictures of practices and a scrimmage. I'm by no means a pro at this! I just like to take pictures. Hope you enjoy looking at the Freshman Swenke Dolphins getting ready for their season opener!

Jacob, in the black shirt, is learning how to get low!
It can't ALL be about football you know!

This is the hard part....for both of us!
Coach Wiseman building him up! Thank goodness he came over. I was ready to sign Jacob up for GOLF!

Right back out there! Made me proud.

Push up time!

Great practice Dolphins!

They are ready for those helmets to be off!

A little last minute advice.

Our boys are doing great!

Love this shot! That kid does not stand a chance against Bryce!

The next couple of shot shows this #12 getting worn out!

Meet the Dolphins #12!!

Jacob gets some coaching!

And is apparently sharing it with Reese.

He really loves playing football. It seems we are in it for the long haul.

This is a look of determination!

That is a really big kid coming at my baby!

There's that really big kid again! Sam and Jacob, you can see his legs, are pushing him back!
