Brock Johnson – Brock does so many things well for us whenever he
is on the field. While I have used him primarily as a blocking back when
he comes in on offense his true impact for the team is as a Line Backer on
defense. Brock had two enormous hits on Saturday against the Black
Broncos where even their coaches were commenting to me on how good he
looked. We continue to move Brock around on defense, which has given us
great flexibility in moving our boys into positions that will help maximize our
success on that side of the ball. Brock would start both ways on any
other team and is truly a valued asset to us on either side of the ball.
When his head is in the game there truly is no one better at Line Backer.
Great job this year BJ!!!
Ty Norwood – Ty has really come along this year for us on
defense. All of the coaching staff made mention to his efforts and
aggressiveness on defense during the last few practices. Two games ago,
Ty got in and made a number of plays and tackles; and has truly started to show
promise for the team. I no doubt believe Ty will more than likely be on
offense next year, and know he is gaining valuable experience mixing it up with
some of the bigger boys on the line. A true sign of heart happened during
our last game where Ty came off the field during an off sides penalty by the
defense. When I tried to talk to him about “going on the ball” he looked
at me and said “I know, I know coach!” While he was frustrated I
immediately knew he got it and wanted to go back in! Keep it up Ty, you
are going to be great!

Joshua Keith – Joshua is one of those boys that will do
whatever you ask of him with no questions, complaints, or issues. He is
the epitome of a team player and never does anything to put himself or his team
in a bad position. As one of my returning 3rd graders I knew we could count on Joshua “JK” (Jana loves my
nicknames) to take care of his business on the defensive line. As with
most of our D-linemen, Joshua goes up against some of the biggest and strongest
players out there and has really come around in making a number of tackles and
being disruptive to the offense. His ultimate sacrifice to the team was
coming out against the Seahawks after being sick for a number of days; he told
me he would try to go and would let me know if he felt weak, sick, etc. 5
minutes into warm-ups I felt his heart break when he came to me and said he was
not feeling well and had to take himself out for the game. Joshua is a
great boy, excellent teammate, and will make for an incredible young man.
It is great to have you back this year JK!!

Luke Walston – What can I say about Luke. Starting Line
Backer and Safety and also now a prolific passer for the Swenke Dolphins!
We knew we would have to change up our offense as the season went on to start
mixing it up against our tougher opponents and certainly as we got prepared for
the play-offs. Luke has stepped in and done a masterful job on offense at
a critical time for us in the season. We see Luke’s confidence grow on
every snap and play where we look to use that confidence as we go further into
the season. On defense Luke has been one of our most consistent
players. Whether he is backing everyone up at safety or dishing out
vicious hits at line backer…he is one of those kids you have complete trust in
wherever he is on the field. Keep up the great work on Offense and
Defense Luke…Really nice job this year!
GREAT JOB DOLPHINS
