Player of the Week-5

Mason Crippen – When Mason puts his mind to it, he can block just about anyone.  He is one of our bigger kids, which helps as a second grader.  Whether he is playing on the offensive line or on defense he works hard going against sometimes tougher 3rd grade opponents.  Mason has grown tremendously from our first week of practice and has come on strong and started for us in a few games on the O-Line.  I really look forward to the day when Mason realizes that he is, and will continue to be larger and stronger than his opponents; and really feel sorry for those boys as he starts to realize his potential.  Keep working hard Mason!

Carson Chandler – Carson is another one of our offensive lineman that has contributed to our success this year.  Our offensive line has been the heart of this team and has performed extremely well, with Carson being a key component of this unit.  Carson never complains and does whatever is asked of him anywhere on the field.  Even when sick for a couple of practices, Carson came out to be with and support his team.  He is another of those players that has great potential and upside. When he stays with it he has made a number of key blocks for us on the O line.  Carson also has a great disposition and is always smiling off the field and is one of those Yes Sir/No Sir kids, which is nice to have on the team.  Nice job this year Carson…keep it up for next year!

Trey Sykes – I first met Trey as a flag player 4 years ago.  He has come a very long way since them and plays an extremely important position for us at TE.  While I have gotten on to him a few times (too many); I have to remind myself that every major run (especially against Ault) has come because Trey has blocked his man out of the play, where I saw great things from him during that game.  I see Trey getting better at every practice in these positions, where he is one of our kids that truly is coachable and will do whatever is asked of him.  I even look forward to working with him more tomorrow on our key blocks as well.  Trey is also one of the sweetest kids I know….he has never met a stranger and will talk to anyone about anything.  He is an absolute pleasure to have on the team and is one of those kids you want to have around your own boys as he is such a great influence for the boys.  Great to have you back as a Dolphin Trey.
GREAT JOB DOLPHINS!
